Mechanism Of Action Of Lornoxicam

• The main mechanism of action of NSAIDs is the inhibition of the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX). Cyclooxygenase is required to convert arachidonic acid into thromboxanes, prostaglandins, and prostacyclins. The body releases these substances in response to illness and injury.

Therapeutic Indications Of Xefo 8 Mg Tablets

• Short term symptomatic treatment of acute mild to moderate pain in adults
• Symptomatic treatment of pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis in adults
• Symptomatic treatment of pain and inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis in adults

Method Of Administration Of Xefo 8 Mg Tablets

• The usual dose for adults is 8 to 16 mg, divided into two or three doses per day. Do not take more than 16 mg a day.
• The dose for patients with arthritis is 12 mg, divided into two or three doses per day. Do not take more than 16 mg a day.
• If you have a liver or kidney impairment, do not take more than 12 mg (taken twice or three times a day) of this medicine.
• Lornoxicam tablets must be swallowed with sufficient amounts of liquid.
• Do not take Lornoxicam with a meal, as food can reduce the effectiveness of Lornoxicam.
• Lornoxicam is not recommended for children and adolescents below 18 years old, due to lack of data.
• Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor’s or pharmacist’s instructions.
